About the role

There is currently a job opening for “Flight Dispatcher” in our Flight Dispatch Department. As a Flight Dispatcher, you will report to the Head of Flight Dispatch and you will be responsible to prepare and monitor the smooth flow of the flights by preparing flight plans and providing all important information to the flight crew. You are a perfect match if you are eager to work in an exciting and fast-paced environment, to optimize the flight plan and coordinate safe, timely, accurate and efficient flights. 

 

What you will do:

  • Plan and organize flight itineraries, taking into consideration aircraft performance, weather conditions, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and analyze current and forecasted weather conditions to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Coordinate with pilots, ground staff, and other relevant parties to ensure timely departures and arrivals
  • Create and revise flight plans as necessary, considering fuel requirements, alternate airports, and any other relevant factors
  • Provide real-time support to flight crews, offering updates on weather, route changes, and any other relevant information
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with air traffic control and other relevant authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance and operations, to resolve issues and optimize overall performance

 

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree will be considered an asset
  • 1 year+ previous working experience in the aviation industry is preferred
  • Very good knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures
  • Fluency in oral and written Greek and English
  • Good knowledge of MS Office

 

And you have competence in:

  • Communicating effectively in a structured manner, with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrating attention to detail
  • Problem-solving, prioritizing and time management
  • Acquiring and analyzing operational data
  • Demonstrating positive attitude with a collaborative approach
