About the role

 

We are looking for a “Procurement Officer” to join our Procurement Department. As a Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and co-ordination of all procurement-related activities, from logistics activities for company needs to sourcing and evaluating prospective suppliers and contract management.

If you are eager to demonstrate your organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient procurement of products and services and supporting company’s needs, this role is for you.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Gather written requests for materials or services from internal stakeholders
  • Evaluate & award appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing
  • Draft an appropriate service level agreement to properly evaluate the performance of suppliers, and report on this on a regular basis
  • Work with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements
  • Evaluate quotations and provide detailed recommendations for management approvals
  • Monitor and evaluate order placement timing, supply / demand alignment, and supplier performance according to an appropriate Service Level Agreement, on a continuous basis
  • Seek, identify and engage appropriate suppliers for project-related services
  • Lead the negotiation of contract terms and pricing with external stakeholders and assist with preparation of related agreements
  • Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationship, monitoring compliance of delivery against contracts and resolving potential order discrepancies

 

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain/ Logistics
  • At least 5 years professional experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office

 

And you have competence in:

 

  • Communicating effectively in a structured manner, with all stakeholders
  • Organizing and paying attention to detail
  • Problem-solving, prioritizing and time management
  • Working effectively under pressure, both independently and as a member of a team
  • Striving for the best results, with creativity, passion and self-drive
