About the role

There is currently a job opening for a “Treasury Risk Management Specialist” in the Treasury & Investor Relations Department. The role is responsible for the effective management of the Group’s hedging strategy, including monitoring markets and executing derivative transactions. It also involves participating in discussions with banks and other financial institutions, reporting on the Group’s FX, commodity and interest rate risks, and playing a key role in improving the efficiency of treasury operations.

What you will do:

• Takes part in defining the Group’s hedging strategy
• In charge of trading and execution of hedging transactions in accordance with the Company’s policy
• Monitors global markets, foreign exchange, commodity and interest rate risks
• Measures the actual performance of FX, commodity and interest rate risk management strategy
• Interacts with banks and financial institutions. Supports the establishment and further development of relationships with financial counterparties, including the negotiation and maintenance of Master Agreements. Ensures available credit lines are in place.
• Builds productive partnerships internally to ensure trust and confidence. Liaise with internal stakeholders on items associated with the financial impact of the Group’s hedging strategy.
• Liaise with external partners, financial institutions, financial service providers and consultants.
• Ensures compliance with accounting standards.
• Supports the Finance team and contributes on improving existing processes, dealing with large data sets.
• Understands and complies with company policy standards and with internal and external audit requirements.

You fit, if you cover the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a business-related subject
• 4-6 years of working experience in finance, preferably in risk management
• Very good command of Bloomberg or Refinitiv/Reuters and strong MS Excel skills
• Fluency in oral and written Greek and English
• Very good understanding of derivatives valuation and accounting, and broad knowledge of global markets, derivative products and hedging strategies
• Master’s degree in finance or risk management field is considered an asset
• CFA charterholder or candidate is considered a plus
